Job Description:

Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to appoint a Trainee Mechanic within the Drilling Department.

This role is designed for individuals seeking to develop a career in mechanical maintenance within the mining and drilling sector. The Trainee Mechanic will assist experienced technicians in maintaining and repairing drilling equipment while gaining hands-on technical experience.

This appointment offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop practical mechanical skills and contribute to the maintenance and reliability of drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Support

  • Assist mechanics in maintaining and repairing drilling rigs and heavy equipment.

  • Support equipment inspections and routine servicing tasks.

  • Help diagnose mechanical faults under supervision.

  • Assist with dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling mechanical components.

Maintenance & Workshop Operations

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in proper condition.

  • Support preventive maintenance activities on drilling machinery.

  • Ensure equipment is prepared and available for operational requirements.

Safety & Learning Development

  • Follow all safety procedures and site regulations.

  • Participate in training programs and technical development initiatives.

  • Learn and apply best practices in mechanical maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Previous internship or entry-level mechanical experience is an advantage but not required.

  • Exposure to heavy equipment or industrial maintenance environments is beneficial.

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.

  • Understanding of maintenance procedures and workshop practices.

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office.
