Virtucruit is partnering with a leading company in Saudi Arabia to appoint Drill Rig Mechanic (Trainees) within the Exploration Department.

The ideal candidate shall actively support maintenance activities including troubleshooting, repairing, and assisting in the installation of drill rig components, with the objective of minimizing downtime and improving overall rig productivity.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are maintained.
• Assist in carrying out inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on Surface and Underground exploration drill rigs - Epiroc Boyles and Diamec PHC

• Assist mechanic technician in diagnose and repair complex electro-hydraulic faults on underground drill rigs.
• Conducting regular inspections of drilling equipment to identify potential issues and performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication
• Use power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment to fabricate or repair components.
• Learn to operate computerized testing equipment to identify faults and ensure equipment performance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work hours.
• Assist in all maintenance and repairs and make sure are performed in line with company safety standards and OEM specifications.
• Maintain good housekeeping in and around the workshop

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical Diploma or High School with equivalent years of experience.
• Basic experience in Surface and Underground exploration drill rigs (Epiroc and Sandvik preferred).
• Good English communication skills (both oral and written).
• Saudi Nationals only
