Production Geology Superintendent (Gold)
Job Description:
Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia, to appoint a Production Geology Superintendent (Gold) within the Mine Geology & Resource Development function.
This is a senior and operationally critical role, responsible for leading production geology and ore control activities to support efficient and sustainable gold mining operations. The position carries a clear mandate to strengthen geological processes, ensure accurate grade control, and optimize resource recovery across the mine site.
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing geological interpretation, ore control practices, and resource reconciliation, working closely with mine planning, operations, and technical teams to maximize production performance while minimizing dilution and ore loss.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production geology and ore control activities at the mine site.
- Supervise and mentor a team of mine geologists and geological technicians.
- Oversee geological mapping, sampling, logging, and data collection.
- Manage grade control drilling programs and ensure accurate ore delineation.
- Develop and maintain ore control models to support production planning.
- Monitor grade reconciliation between the geological model, mine production, and plant performance.
- Collaborate with mine planning and operations teams to support short- and long-term mine plans.
- Ensure geological data integrity and proper database management.
- Utilize geological modeling software to support resource interpretation and production decisions.
- Maintain compliance with company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare regular geological reports and production updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Geology, Mining Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
- Professional certifications or postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mining geology, preferably within gold mining operations.
- Strong experience in production geology, ore control, and grade management.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing geology teams in mining operations.
- Experience working in open pit or underground mining environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of gold deposit geology and mining processes.
- Experience with geological modeling and mining software such as Leapfrog, Datamine, Surpac, or Vulcan.
- Experience in grade control, resource reconciliation, and geological modeling.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and data management skills.
